Any home treatment for mites?

Hi.

Im not 100% sure, but I *think* my finches have mites/lice as they are itching more than usual. My local Pets At Home dont have anything and its bank holiday on Monday so if I bought anything online it would take too long. Is there anything I can make at home that is effective or can help even just until I can get something?

I ordered a mite spray, but I have seen a similar product at PetSmart and Petco. I have not tried them, but you could check your local pet store for a bird mite spray, which is safe for finches. The other choice is to use S76, or Iverlux, or SCATT, but those are purchase online too. You could pay for overnight shipping to get it tomorrow, if you order today.

I just realized you're in the UK, so I'm not sure what they sell there. I hope someone close to you can add information of venders.
