Help with Gouldian Male

Dear Forum,

My male Gouldian woke this morning and wasn't himself. :( He is somewhat puffed, and the eyes look a little dull (big change from last night). While he ate from the seed cup today and dined on millet spray at the bottom of the cage, he was not very active, and slept some while perched during the daylight hours. I noticed what appeared to be the remnant of a sucretion from one eye - but not both. But if something did leak from his eye, it dried a while ago and only left a slight line on his plummage.

Any ideas on what is happening here? Should I put him in another enclosure with a heat lamp?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Could it be a one eyed cold or Ornithosis? Here's an article about it:

I would definitely move him to a "hospital" cage and add heat. Maybe email or call Laraine and discuss a game plan.

I'm not an expert but one thing I've learnt is not to waste time as I have lost one bird to indecision. I would get him somewhere warm as quickly as possible.
