Lumps on Gouldian feet

After the bird fair today (only bought seed; they seem hardly ever have any Gouldians) I stopped at Pet World Warehouse "just to look at the birds". Didn't buy any. Have a question............two of the Gouldians had bumps/lumps on their feet which looked kind of like warts. What would this be????? and if you know, how do they get them? Just wondering.
BTW, they were $149 each. Green back; red headed males. Good looking except for the lumps.
They are also had RCCB for I think the same price; they looked good, and 2 red finches, same price.

Hard to tell without a picture but it may be bumblefoot. Most times it's caused by poor perches and unsanitary conditions so that they get little cuts on their feet and it gets infected. Can also be caused by poor nutrition, I would pass on those birds especially for that price which just seems outrageous for one normal gouldian.

Debbie, I would never buy an unhealthy looking bird; just was curious what the problem was. Thanks.
