Large Lump On Zebra Finch Wing

Hi all, I'm extremely concerned for my youngest zebra finch called Flash. Not long ago when I let all my birds out I noticed he couldn't get back into the cage, so I picked him up and placed him in but I noticed his wing was hanging down a bit. I thought he'd hurt it somehow and that it might be better the next couple of days but it never got any better and so he couldn't fly too well.

I decided to inspect him after some time and it turned out he has a large lump under his wing (the right wing).

I've circled the exact location of where it has appeared on a random finch picture and attached it to this post.

I couldn't look at it for too long as he was struggling, not sure if it hurts him but he doesn't like to extend his wing. From what I can see it looks like a large, yellow-ish pink area. Not sure if he broke his wing and it swelled up and healed strangely.. or if this is a cyst or a tumor.

Unfortunately the earliest we can get him to the vet now is next week. Any advice in the meantime? I'm worried about it getting worse.

If anyone requires an actual closeup photo I am happy to get one.

Thanks

I am sorry for your concern (I am the queen of worry)

I am not able to help, but I am sure someone here will have an idea. How is he doing today?

Good luck!

The area you show in the pic is near a nuckle joint in the wing... it is possible he may have fell and dislocated it...

but the color throws me off... :( either way I would just try and make him as comfortable as possible until you can get him to the vet
