Hello All,
I would like to know if I can keep Zebra Finches with a Lovebird in my double flight?
Thanks

I wouldn't, a lovebird could most likely inflict fatal damage if he chose to.

I wouldn't either. Lovebirds, despite their name are known killers of other birds and can inflict a nasty bite. My tame, handfed hens would often turn mean and territorial come breeding time. Drew blood from my fingers many, many times. That being said, kept alone or in pairs they are quite comical, hardy, great little parrots. Had them for many years and really enjoyed them. Bob

I also agree with the others not to put them together.

Having raised both and know lovebirds fairly well...I would say a definite "NO!!"

I couldn't agree more. Lovebirds are wonderful little birds if you know what to expect from them.30 Seconds to Bob wrote: I wouldn't either. But I would never house them with finches. My lovies bully my cockatiels routinely and the tiels are twice their size.
I did have lovebirds living with parrotlets, and the parrolets bullied the lovies. The parrotlets just didn't take their guff..
All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men and women to stand by and do nothing.
