Societies sleeping on floor?

Hello and thank you for reading, I hope I can get some feedback on my finches behavior.
I have had my finches for 9 days now, they have been great (I have a male and female >presumed as one sings the other chirps). They seem healthy, they eat everything I offer them (seeds, fresh greens, millets, eggs, water) and they bathe every single day. They are both very active.
The female is still very skittish of me, though she is starting to trust me more. The male doesn't seem to mind me as much.
I only touch their cage when needed and food and water is cleaned out first thing in the morning about 8am.
I will periodically check the cage throughout the day for soiled anythings.
The first 4-5 days I had them they would huddle on the perch, preen each other and fall asleep.
since then, they have this "special" little corner they chose and every time its time to go to bed, they jump down off the perch and huddle, preen and fall asleep.
From the other birds I have owned, I know they fluff up, eyes half closed even though they might eat they still look sickly. These guys don't look sick at all. I know that they are masters of diguise when it comes to being sick.. but they look fine.
I know this has been a long read I am so sorry
I was wondering if anyone's little finchies did this too.. actually i just remembered they were doign this at the pet shop I got them from as well..
