Nail trimming Society Finches

Post by zipzapzipperzoom » Wed Jul 03, 2013 10:52 pm

Hey Everyone;
My finches are currently raising a clutch of 6 and I've notice that the nails for both parents could use a trim.
Chicks about 15 days old, is it ok to trim them now. Or do I have to wait until they fledge?

Thanks,
-Kristy

I'd wait until they babies are weaned (eating/drinking on their own) to make sure parents continue to feed to weaning.

Agreed. Another week or two isn't going to hurt them. Bob
