Overgrown beak ?

Post by Mick M. » Sun Sep 01, 2013 7:33 am

One of my zebras has an overgrown top beak .

He's around 4 months old and feeding well coloured up fine ,
He's always had it , not affected by this with his feeding , looks odd but that's it .
It's about a quarter inch long like a thick hair protruding from the tip of his beak ,
Could it be trimmed ?
How would/should I go about this besides going to the vet ?

Regards , Mick M.

I would just trim the very tip with a nail clipper.
Here's an article on nail and beak trimming that may help
