Eye problem

Post by Debbie2580 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 12:37 pm

I noticed this morning one of my Goudian babies which are going through their first molt has a damp eye. At first I thought she or he lost the feathers are round the eye area. But now I see it is actually moist. I think anyway. I'm not sure of the sex yet it has only just begun changing. it doesn't seem sick and is eating and drinking fine. I've never noticed something like this before. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you

Maybe it just got wet in the water dish/tube?
Only other thing I can think of is a one eyed cold :(

Debbie if your bird looks healthy other wise just observe it for a few days before administering anything. sometimes it can be simple dander and medication would be overkill. If it gets worse, well then a different course of action will be needed depending on symptoms.
Hope it turns out to be nothing major.
