Can someone tell me what is this and should I go to the doctor with her? I took it off, but her beak still looks weird...

Some finches have overgrown beaks due to nutritional deficiencies or a lack of cuttle bone to wear down the beak properly. There are some illnesses that can cause beak overgrowth, so if you can afford an avian vet visit, that is ideal. If not, you can use baby fingernail clippers and trim very carefully to even out the beak, but not too much so it doesn't bleed. Then, make sure the finch gets a variety of seed mix, romaine lettuce, carrots and other veggies chopped so they can eat them, plus the cuttle bone or crushed eggshells for calcium.
