I use Morning Bird's Calcium Plus, but there are other brands that are good--Bird Care makes one, I believe Vetafarm has one, there is a powdered kind called Cal-D-Solve.

For eggbinding, I will give one or two drops directly to the side of the beak. The hen will usually open her beak when she feels that liquid and will take in some of it. I may follow up a couple of hours later with another dose if there is no improvement.

Sally is right. I use Calcium Plus and give a drop to the beak a couple times a day until the egg passes. I also, put the hen in a small cage in my bathroom with the shower on hot for humidity and put a heat bulb over one side of the cage. They usually pass the egg within the day.

The ones I have mentioned are manufactured for birds. Calcium Plus is by Morning Bird and is for birds.

There are also powdered calcium with D3 that can be added to the soft foods like chopped veggies, eggfood. It is called Cal-D-Solve made by AviTech...I use this and have been happy with it. I have also used Calcium Plus but I am not a fan of liquid supplements to the water since it can be unreliable since certain species drink less than other....example Budgies drink less water than finches.
