Parrot finches has eggs

My Red headed parrot finches that I got about a month ago are sitting on eggs. I did not expect this because they are youngsters and it is the start of our winter here. I noticed the eggs in the nest last saturday, but I thought that it was an abandoned nest. I was a bit curious because I felt that the eggs were quite big. Now I am glad that I didn't clean out the nest. I am going to leave them be. If the eggs hatch and they don't make it due to the cold then so be it.
