Injury from fighting or some kind of infection/illness?

One of my young male zebras has some kind of injury or infection around his eyes, however it appears worse on his left side to the point where he sometimes doesn't open this eye. I notice he often scratches the area with his feet.

Does this appear to be an injury from fighting with other birds or is it some kind of infection or illness?? There is another male with similar injury/infection but not as bad as this poor boy. All the other birds are fine and very healthy looking.

Any advice appreciated.

Tried to get some pictures...

as far as i can see from the pics i guess it is an eye infection my friend. their is specific drops you can add to his drinking water that will help cure this issue.
but you have to hurry....

Can't see in the pictures very well but I would be concerned that it may be Conjunctivitis.
Here's a couple articles that may be of help diagnosing, it may be time for a vet.

It's a bit hard to tell.

I agree it could be conjunctivitis. But the curious thing is that if that abnormality was the result of discharge, I wouldn't expect to see it up above the level of the eye. (discharge drips downward.)

The amount of excess tissue there makes me wonder if it could be fungal or parasitic? Really tough to tell from the photos.
