Gouldian beak problem?

Hi, my female Gouldians don't have clean, smooth pinkish or pale cream coloured beaks, rather they are whitish grey, and almost flakey with a black tip. Is this anything to worry about?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, you might want to check out the finch informatiom center link on the left of the page .
But I think your female is in breeding condition, but I am sure one of the gouldian experts on here will get on here soon.

Perfectly normal...beak colour changes throughout the year...darker at breeding time.

We are in Winter here in Australia and my Gouldian hens have black beaks which means they are in breeding condition, but although my male red face cock tries his hardest to attract one of the two females, neither seem interested? Do some Gouldians simply not pair off? I have four (2 hens, 2 cocks) and the hens hang about together and peck the cocks away when they go near them??

Lesbians
They can be fussy...my best hen in pristine condition won't have anything to do with the cocks I've paired her with,so I gave up and put her in a spare cage with a scruffy half feathered cockbird...Guess what?
