We were gone most of the day yesterday..when I checked on my Gouldian pair this morning I noticed dried blood all over the perches. After my initial panic I checked their feet and the female had a little injury on the bottom of her foot but looks like it had scabbed over. She seems totally normal..eating/drinking , flying and moving normally and not favoring that leg at all. Is there anything I need to look out for or do ?

Personally, if it has already scabbed over, I wouldn't do anything at all except to keep an eye on her. She may have injured it on something in the cage, birds have an uncanny ability to get themselves in trouble!

You may want to keep Kwik Stop or similar coagulant aid if they get into trouble in the future. It's in mostly every store that carried pet supplies. But if there is a scab, I agree, let it be. Sometimes a broken nail, pulled pin feather, etc. will possibly need some help.

Dried poop can be amazingly sharp and abrasive.

I would clean and sand all the perches with a Medium then FINE sand paper. This is to get rid of any HARD poop on the perch.
Then wipe with a paper towel to wipe off the bits left behind by the sand paper.

Then clean any plastic perches, like on food trays of dried poop.

Then scrape and clean the cage bottom wires with a damp sponge, to remove dried poop or at least round them off.

I have a gouldian hen that injures the bottom of her foot repeatedly, and leaves blood on the perches. I now have her in a hospital cage, where I can watch her and keep her in a clean a cage as I can.
