I can't seem to find information on the Forum regarding Bathing, and what we are supposed to supply to the finches to assist them in bathing. I would enjoy hearing from other members regarding what they are using to help their birds bathe . . .

I use several different baths for my birds. Mostly I use small plastic saucers that I got when clearanced at Home Depot or at Big Lots. I love the Lixit clip-on baths, but they are too pricey for me to use them on all my cages.

I also use a variety of baths. Outside aviary has a cement birdbath the kind for wild birds. I put a large flat rock in the middle as an island, they love it. Others get assorted dishes.
I have bath water available at all times

No telling what they will like. Some like the wall mounted seed cups filled with bath water and others like small water dishes on the floor.
A cheap source is one of the dollar stores. They have plastic [ice cream?] dishes in a couple of sizes @ something like 3 for a dollar. I use these for feed as well as bath water.

If one can visualise the stainless food n water parrot bowls with the strong metal ring holder that hooks onto the cage front / wire, this is what I use inside of me breeding stock cages,
However some birds are nervous in going near to a shiny metal bowl so I use a supply of plastic bowls that fit perfectly inside of the ring holders and saves me having to put the bowls on the floor of the cage where they could get tipped and knocked over,
I try to use rain water in my birds baths as I personally feel that rain water makes the birds feathers look nice and soft and with a Loverly sheen,
Tap water I suppose is ok and will obviously use it at times if I've ran out of rain water from me rain water tanks but think that it doesn't soften the feathers and gives as good sheen as the rain water
Incidentally I don't put nothing in the water as I don't really believe in it and think it's unnecessary

I use the one you can buy at my local pet stores, but the cheapest price is amazon here is a picture most of my finches love this bath but I do have one that will only drink and bath in a stainless water bowl hung high in the cage,I think everyone is different they absolutely refused to go in the inclosed ones that hang outside the door.Took me quite a few tries to find something that worksfor most of them.

I have a large Crock on the floor of the cage . One of the Gouldian drinks from it - the other Gouldian prefers the clear plastic cup that attaches to the door to drink from. Neither Gouldian has bathed yet.
