One of my zebra hens has been doing something weird tonight, that I've ever seen, so I'm looking for any input you al have. She will be sitting on a perch, acting completely normal, and then all of a sudden, she will kind of dive from the perch, directly to the floor, and kind of flap around wildly. It only lasts a second or too, and she will go right back to the perch, almost like it never happened. She open-mouth breathes intermittently afterward, but otherwise looks and acts pretty much normal. She's done this at least three times in the last hour or so. Her cage mate doesn't seem phased at all by her behavior.
Any ideas?

Re: Weird behavior in female zebra
I don't think so, but it's certainly possible. We sat and watched her like a hawk for like 20 min after her last episode last night, right after I posted and she didn't do it again. My hubby was home all day today and she has been completely normal. I'm really hoping whatever it was is done!lovezebs wrote: nelloyello11
Is there a possibility of a bug in the flight?
Mine will do that when they're hunting.
