So I have a female weaver(not exactly sure the type) and she has been doing an odd body shake, as if she had bathed and was drying off, she does it several times and then just carries on.
Everyone is acting normally, they are still in quarantine because they came home with Diarrhea and my female society died within a day of coming home, I had a pair of zebras and a pair of societies and her all given to me(they were all living in the same cage in their previous home).
I sprayed them all with a mite treatment just incase and sprinkled diatomaceous earth on their seed after the one female passed. The diarrhea cleared up within couple days, but this seems odd behavior I am not sure if it is a weaver thing or something else.

My weavers don't do that.
So it is not a weaver thing.

Some bird species, will fluff feathers to relieve stress or tension, or right after preening, to get all their feathers back into place.

Birds will fluff up and remain somewhat fluffed, if they're feeling cold.

When birds fluff up, remain fluffed, with eyes half closed, sitting in a corner or on the bottom of the cage, looking miserable, they are very very sick.

I would keep an eye on this particular bird. Watch her in flight, to see if the feathers in her wings appear to be as they should. Watch her when she smooths her feathers down, to see if there is one spot she's poking at (maybe a feather that's twisted out of place somewhat).

Offer a nice lukewarm bath, with a warm lamp to dry under, and let us know how she's doing.

My male society finch also does that a bit. He'll sing and then crouch down on the branch and flap around for a bit before continuing to sing. Everything else seems fine, so I'm not sure what he's doing.

She seems fine otherwise. Isn't fluffed up. Moves about and chirps to the others. She does run her beak up the bars in one spot on the cage. She just does the shaking feathers out a few times a day...it's not a fluff up shaking...more like she is shaking off water.

From what your saying it seems like she is fine and just fluffing to adjust her feathers and keep them in place. Birds spend a lot of time preening their feathers to help keep them healthy. Just keep an eye on her if she stays fluffed up or seems to preen herself in one spot excesively there could be a chance of something else wrong. Most birds love to take daily baths so i would suggest always having that option available to them, and it will help keep their feathers in good condition as well.

So...things have settled down with them...and watching them for long periods of time I have noticed they bath in the water dish...so some of that was post bath shaking...it's funny because my others don't do that lol...I feel a little dumb...
