My 2 Male Gouldian Finches I have observed "Flicking" their tails from side to side very fast .......
I don't know why they are doing this, so I'm here to see if anyone else has observed this
behavior in their finches .
Thanks for any replies.

They really dig each other ;) Thats mating behavior usually females use to tell a male she likes him.
But I seen a few of my juvenile males make these motions to each other.

Ha! Well I feel somewhat better, but also you should know that one of my Males is seen Hopping up and down on the Perch facing the other Male ! It's the funniest thing to see.......I've had them over a year already - I thought they would be over puberty by now! LOL

You sure you have two males?

*chuckle* Has the other male ever done the "hoppy dance"?
If not, you may have a female.

Well obviously your 2 guys
really like each other.
My males will all group together in the afternoon and sing to each other. While one sings, the others listen in rapt attention, beaks upwards, some with their eyes closed.
The hopping dance, is usually saved for the gals, or is seen between the youngsters when they're just practicing.
Tell us more about your Senegal.

Oh my, well ...... My Senegal ......just turned 7-Months old.
Her Name is 'JoJo', short for Josephine. She is a Parrot that
I have always wanted, and now I have her. She is a delight,
but does have her moments. She is very sweet, and loves
head scratches and cuddles, and she loves to mutter at me
when I talk to her. She likes to spend a lot of time on my
shoulder - until she begins to bite my earlobes, then she gets
put on top of her cage to play with her Toys.
She's a really good eater - loves fresh fruit and vegetables, and
loves her Birdy Bread, and Nutriberries.
I'm delighted to have her. She's so very pretty, and I look forward
to watching her grow up ......

Would love to see some pictures of your girlie, she sounds like she's loads of fun and that you're enjoying her...except for the ear piercing issue. What is it with these guys and the ear lobes

.
