Skinny Lady Gouldian with diarrhea

I mentioned in a previous post that I have a female Lady Gouldian which has diarrhea. I've been giving her quik-gel, e-powder, ve-8 powder, and turbobooster to help her out. As long as she's taking these her poop is normal. However, if I miss a day or she has already eaten up all the medicine, she goes back to having the diarrhea. I think it's a yellowish mustard color and it stinks. Lately, she's been losing weight so I'm worried this might be more serious.
Also, on a side note she is raising 3 chicks (nestlings now). This pair had four chicks but the smallest one died.
Lastly, the nest had red mites in it so I treated the pair with S76 (two days for three weeks) and wiped down the cage and sprayed the nest with Avian Insect Liquidator. I haven't seen any mites lately.

Does anyone have suggestions to helping her gain some weight back? She loves the millet and eats tons of it!

Yeh boiled egg mashed up feed her some of this it plumps them up

I would contact Larraine at www.ladygouldian.com as soon as possible, describe her symptoms.
Your gouldian is very sick and will likely pass it on to the chick's which may not be able to fight it off.

Not sure if "ask the experts" is the quickest way. Larraine and Kristen are usually quick to answer via email or phone. I believe ask the experts is more Dr Rob.

I do believe Larraine is in Georgia so this hurricane may affect her, not positive which area she is in.

Thanks for asking! She's still the same. Other than the diarrhea issue and her being very skinny, she seems pretty well. She does look worn out but I figure it's from taking care of the chicks. She isn't sleeping during the day or sitting puffed up so I'm hoping it's not too bad.

I would still be concerned about the loose stools.

Feeding chicks takes a lot out of the parents, and if they're not in good health, it's not good for them, nor the chicks. Illnesses can be passed on from the parents to the chicks.

Once a bird is sitting all puffed up, it may be too late to help them.

I wish Cindy was back on the Forum, she would be able to give you some ideas as to what might help the diarrhea issue.
