So the young star finch I got I think it has air sack mites none of my others have it they are all fine and this one was yesterday he was tweeting really loud in the sun I even took photos of them all tweeting away climbing in the bamboo tree

However today he has started not tweeting but his beak open and closing again and again and when he try’s to tweet it sounds like air like a hustle

I’ve never had this before so what should I do I’ve separated her for now and she’s being quarantined ?

In the UK, you have the Bird Care Company for bird supplements. They sell an ivermectin solution for mites. In the US, we have Scatt and S76 available to us, and if you can find them, they are also good to use.

Sally thanks and it’s seems okay now I don’t know what it was maybe it was the new plant because they have been eating out of the soil

I did buy a liquid thing that you add to the water three times a week though I’ll take a pic and upload
