haroun Oh i does look similar to mine are you going to try to fix it? Ive seen ppl either tape the toes or make shoes for them to correct this i was thinking of doing it but since my bird walks and flies fine i didnt think it would be necessary anymore.

True i wonder what they would have looked like, they had a nest and would put nesting material in it an would take turns to sit inside sometimes i would check if they had eggs until i moved them and discovered the reason why i never saw eggs lol.

OhNayeli people find it very hard but I find it quite easy after u have had a pair and I’ve watched them tear a clutch you learn the difference in the tweet,behaviour and stance then also the dance is the final that tells u it’s a male

Fraza well it does sound like they are more difficult to tell apart lol specially if you compare it to other types of finches.

OhNayeli well yeah compare to others they are but still I find hecks the most hard I cannot work it out at all they are so hard to sex I think the easiest are in order:

Zebras
Java’s
Stars
Society’s
Heck’s
Firetail

Fraza i agree with you zebras are the easiest i can already tell what one of the babies will be and they are around a month and half old. I always have trouble with identifying birds as i told you about my albino finch and i also had parakeets which i tough were a pair but ended up being both females lol

OhNayeli or no that is so true I’ve had that a pair that ends up being a same sex pair the amount of times people have sold me a pair of same sex society’s

OhNayeliive only been keeping them 2 years tops maybe less but I started off with 2 society’s but rapidly got more tbh I’ve done quite well to be honest with my self I had a bad year getting used to my aviary but otherwise I’ve never had illness with any of my birds that’s resulted in death never had mites etc so something must be going right

Fraza oh well thats not long but it seems like you have learned alot. And thats good that you havent lost birds to illnesses i feel like my birds were doing fine before and once i started paying more attention to them they started getting sick.
