I recently got a canary and noticed the past few days that at the top of his wing (the little curve part by the head) on both sides I could see a little pink or red to brownish underneath the feather. I'm concerned this may be blood. His feathers go into a little swirl near this spot so I may just be seeing his skin on on his wing. When he was preening himself I also see the colour on the underside of the wing.
