zebra finch feathers protruding imparing flight

Hello everyone, I'm posting on behalf of my 86yr old mum who needs help. Her female zebra finch is not flying very well, presumably because of these 2 protruding feathers (photo attached). Can anyone please advise/enlighten us? She is preening, bathing, eating and drinking well, but her flight is affected and Mum is very worried about her. Thank you so much in advance.

ShelleyJ well she seems quite healthy but how old is the bird ?

The only thing I can think of is age

It won’t be egg bound because of the way she is acting normal and it doesn’t fit other things symptoms so I’m saying t must be related to age or it’s having a little molt and a few of its flight feathers have gone, if this is the case of the little molt just make sure she has plenty of food extras like egg food

ShelleyJ okay I think maybe she is having a molt then one of my society’s has just had one his feathers have just started coming back again so he’s flying better in the aviary now
