Is my bird sick, or am I overreacting?

So, I have a 7month old, male Zebra Finch. He's been very very clingy for the past few days, but I'm a bit worried he might be getting sick, judging by how he's acting today. He has been very sleepy today and is currently taking a nap. But when it comes to it, he's well able to fly around and be his speedy, hyper self. A few days ago, he got a bit sick and vomited, but after giving him some water with apple cider vinegar, he was feeling much better and was completely fine the next day.
I had a bird die on me once because he had some strange genetic disease, so I'm quite careful and watch my other bird very carefully.
I am suspecting he might just have not gotten enough sleep, because both my roommate and I stay up very late due to finals.
The only thing that stands out to me, is the fact that he's sleepier than normal, but he eats and drinks just the right amount.
Did anyone else have the same thing happen?

He must be a hand fed and raised finch because they are not usually that tame. He could just be tired. Since he is free to fly around, be sure there is nothing toxic to birds that he could get into.

Sleepiness could be a symptom of sickness, but Zebras are quite tough. I would be worried if he was puffed up as well. Are his dropping normal? Not runny or a weird colour? If He still looks off tomorrow, I would put him in a hospital cage with a lightbulb or with a heatingpad for some heat and give him some electrolytes in his water.

Make sure he gets enough sleep
Cover his cage in the evenings if you guys stay up late.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful advice. He is alright now. I think we just kept him up too late, so he had to catch up on some sleep.

Surprisingly, he was not hand fed. He was quite troubled when I got him, and nobody wanted to get him, so he was the last finch left at the store.
I just spend a lot of time with him, that's all. He even has an out of cage playground.

I will do that from now on. I don't want my boy being sleep deprives. ❤️

I think he found a good home. Good luck with your little feathered friend.
