Preventative Meds for mites?

Hello! I originally posted this question on the canary forum, but maybe I should have posted it here. I'm a new canary owner, and I'm also planning on setting up an indoor aviary for finches in the future; and it seems like mites are a common problem. Does anyone do preventative meds for mites or worms for their indoor aviary birds?

I used either SCATT or Ivermectin (can use S76 as well) for new birds for air sac and scaly face mites, and repeated as needed (so far, one round, or three applications over three weeks, in two years). I hear Avian Insect Liquidator is good for external feather mites and the like.
