So I just noticed that my female zebra finch was making this weird high pitched chirping sound. She also makes her normal beeping sound, which is low. She’s eating fine and active, is there anything wrong?

CathyCraftz shouldn’t be anything to serious as long as she’s eating and being active she is okay

If you notice her become fluffed up and being less active and not eating/drinking as much then there is something wrong

Is there any chance that she is wanting to breed? I separated her from my other finch because of aggression and put her with a mirror. When she makes those sounds, she also pecks the mirror and rubs against it.

CathyCraftz maybe she is lonely then try her with the mate again

Try sitting the cages right next to each other; then they won't beat each other up, but still have company. I'm not sure about finches, but other birds can be stressed by having a mirror since it looks like another bird, but is incapable of interaction.
