molting male looks awful! Just checking...

Please take a look at this male. I know he's molting, and they do look ragged, but this is my first year with these, and I want to make sure he looks normally ragged!

He is flitting about and singing just the same. So he is acting normal.

They molt all at once and can look truly ratty.
Make sure he gets daily egg food. It takes a lot of energy -mainly protein- to grow new feathers.
