Feather follicle disease

Post by Chickenman1966 » Fri Oct 25, 2019 9:40 pm

hi all, tried to upload photo on other site but wouldn’t upload.... so my birds bar one have this problem. Seen a bird vet he told me that’s what it is, he took a scraping from the scalp, looked under the microscope. So it didn’t seem to do much, spraying them, birds have not been sprayed for 5 to 6 months, now still moulting, but the crusty heads even beaks have some growth.. f10 disinfect. 1ml 250ml spray all birds once a week for five weeks. ..will try to upload more photos. These birds are 5 years old. Haven’t bred them for a few years, mixed flock, bought from some backyard breeders, weather they were carrying this problem. I can’t recall. But funny how one gouldian is not affected.

These birds are very obviously stuck in molt.

How long have they been like this?

Please describe their diet in detail and whether their indoors or out doors.
