Birdbath water cleaner

Just stumbled upon this item...has anyone used something like this before? Is it safe?

A lot of people are using this I started it myself and so far I think it works in bath and drinking every two or three days check this out

It may keep the water relatively free of bacteria, but for an outdoor birdbath, would it deter mosquitoes? I have my doubts. Best thing is to change the water often.

For an indoor aviary, the cidar vinegar or Avi-cleans, KD, Sparkle, Verkon S, all work to help keep bacteria at bay.

I'd still suggest replacing the water with fresh, daily, if you have added vitamins to it. If it's just plain water, any of these products will work so that you can leave the water for a couple or more days if that's better for your schedule.
