Gouldian Finch query

Hi all, i recently purchased (last week) a pair of black headed Gouldian Finches and im a bit worried about the health of the female. She looks like a puffed up ball sometimes and i have noticed that she sleeps alot during the day with her head down beside her wing. She also squints and has her eyes closed alot, it almost looks like she is in pain the way she squints.
The male is fine, hes very energetic and jumps around alot and is alot more alert than she is. Anyway was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or would no a good website that might help me out.
Thanks

Your hen is ill. Hopefully just from the stress of the move.
Separate her from the male and put her in a smaller cage (a 'hospital cage'). Put a heat lamp near her so she can get the heat but not so close that she can't get away from it. If you don't have a heat lamp a regular light bulb will do - just check that you don't burn her.
Put a wet towel over her cage for humidity.
Put a millet spray, soaked seed, and/or hard boiled egg mashed with the shell in her cage for some easy to eat food.
If you have Guardian Angel or Thrive add it to her water.
How long has this been going on for?

hi everyone, thanks for the advice. I dont have a spare smaller cage atm because i have a shaft tail with an injured wing in there. anyway she is looking a bit better today. Might just have been the stress of the move. I will keep a close eye on her over the next few days and see how she goes.
thanks again
