My female zebra is opening and closing her mouth like every second.but then i moved her cage from the sun and she stopped! is it like lizards when they open there mouth to cool down? please help

It may have been too hot in the sun if there was nowhere she could go to get in any shade. Cages should only be partially in direct sunlight.
