I know this has nothing to do with finches but its probably the same.

I purchased my red factor canary pair about a week ago,and at the pet shop she had 1 egg and then i boght her. she now has a buit nest and i see her visit the nest alot,it looks like she wants to lay eggs

can she be eggbound?

An egg bound canary does not fly around. They sit on the bottom of the cage looking extremely miserable. She probably is just getting use to her new quarters and possibly new mate... just checking it all out.
I am sure you will fall in love with canaries. They are some of the sweetest and they will bond with thier owner

How can you tell she wants to lay? Maybe she just wants to make her bum-groove like we all do when we get a new piece of furniture.

Many times canaries will get what they call broody.. they will lay in the nest doing nothing. If she does not produce eggs soon, within a week. I would remove the nest. Then let the male court her for a while before putting the nest back in with nesting material.
This type of behavior happens a lot of times after the hen has had several clutches. It is possible the one you bought has already reared chicks recently. If that is the case it is best to remove the nest and let her have a rest Or it could be that since she had laid an egg at the store that her timing has been interupted. It may take a little time for her to adjust to her new home.

Congrats! Canaries usually make good parent... start feeding eggfood with hardboiled egg if you haven't started.. This they feed to their chicks so they need to be use to this food. They can not raise chicks on a seed diet. Sprouted seed is good also, but eggfood is a must Also the red factors achieve thier red coloration from the food they eat. you must start feeding this canthanxin?? before thier juvienile molt. Once the feathers are in you can not change the color until next molt. Without colorfeeding they may be yellow or white. They make eggfood with the coloring ingredient in it already... hopefully you have already prepaire and bought some. Again Congrats
