Moving too much with finches?

Hi again all!!

I have a question I need an answer to if someone can advise...
Since I have went back into the military I have had to move my finches around a few times, more than I would like, well now that I am at my base they have settled in and I have three, three day old chicks ( =D> ) I will be going back to a short school for a month and my wife would like to go back home and take the birds back with her. How much more stressfull would this be? I have 4 adults in two cages and they would all need to be put into a smaller cage, plus the 3 new chicks. I'll be gone for 5 weeks...Help!

Are you able to leave the birds where you are and care for them?

I would not move them with chicks if I didn't hae to.

Congrats on the new chicks! How soon will you be moving? If the chicks are not fledged and/or weaned by the time you move - I would try not to move them. Sorry!

it would be better for the birds if you could find someone that could bird sit for the time that you need to be away. a short move would be much less stressful for the birds
