kelp vs spirulina

Post by carmena » Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:08 pm

I just got my order of spirulina but now I am wondering if I still need to use iodine?
If I give kelp supplements to my goulds can I stop the spirulina? OR if I am giving the Spirulina do I STILL need to give iodine?

thanks all!

You can offer powdered kelp alongside Spirulina - they have different benefits.
I believe a standard diet would/should contain sufficient iodine to where it shouldn't need to be force supplemented, and to where having free access to the kelp as they choose is still okay/fine :)
