Sluggish and puffed up Gouldian

Hello all,

My birds have been doing well for a while now (knock on wood) until recently one of my gouldians started puffing up and became sluggish. The temp in the room where the goulds are housed was in the mid 70's so I placed a heater and upped it to 83. I observed the puffed up gould for 3 days and although he eats and drinks, he still seems puffed and always snuggled beside one of the other goulds. I have removed him from his cage, gave him a drop of SCATT and placed him in a small cage by himself in the same room, however beside a heater 60W.

Is there anything else I can do? I have at my disposal Antibiotics, Ronivet 12%, SCATT, and vitamins.

Thanks!

Here are some pics of the bird and its poop..After I moved it to the small cage with dedicated heater, it seems to be doing better - no more fluffiness. But to be safe, I will observe him for a week or so.

I notice many times when I put a "puffy" bird into the hospital cage, it stops being puffy. Maybe the stress/excitement of being in the strange environment makes it pull in its feathers tight.

I would shield 3 sides of the cage with cardboard, so it feels less exposed. And leave it in the hospital cage with a lamp, just in case. That way, if there is something going on, it can recover on its own.
