Avian Flu

I am getting a finch soon (1 month) and I was wondering, what are signs for Finches to have avian flu? If they can't get Avian Flu, please tell me. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :?: :?: :?:

I'm not a physician nor vet, but I don't think finches can get the Avian Flu. I think that's more of a poultry illness.

My husband works hand in hand with the local Health Deptment. He get bulletins about different health concerns and what they are seeing. The avain flu is not a concern at this time and as Liz said it was mainly confined to fowl like ducks and chickens. I believe domestic birds like finches were not effected. Most of the incidents were/are in foriegn countries.
