mites treatment

Post by star » Tue Jan 19, 2010 3:25 pm

Just in case I need to resort to medications i will need advice.

My birds do haves mites or lice . I explained symptoms in my post diffusing essential oils. Anyway how did others of you treat for a case of mites or lice? What did you use ? How often? Will feather mites lead to air sac mites? I do not want to use any spray. So what product can i use and how well and quickly does it wok?

I will be trying essential oils first but I need backup in case it doesn't help.

Thank you everyone

You might want to check this about the oils

Essential oils for birds

I'm in the process of exploring the use of essential oils for birds, but as we all know, the aromatic oils are dangerous to bird's respiratory systems. Candles, air fresheners, carpet cleaners, etc have all been implicated in bird deaths.
