breeding between types

Post by ImEmma » Tue Oct 30, 2007 7:39 pm

Hello, I have a male zebra finch and a female spice finch, (that i thought was a boy when I bought it.) My brother has seen them mating before, and recently I found an cracked egg on the bottom of the cage.

Now the question is can a spice finch and zebra finch have chicks together? or is this scientifically imposible.

you're thoughts are appreciated!

I think it is rare to have a fertile egg between the two.

Take out any nest if there is one in there. Anyeggs found will most likely be unfertile and can be thrown away.
