Gouldian Mating Dance

Post by tammieb » Sat Aug 12, 2006 11:48 am

I found this on Google Video today, thought I'd share it with y'all.

http://video.google.com/googleplayer.sw ... 1154&hl=en

I have a perch with alot of spring to it in my flight cage and one of my Gouldian cocks can really get it to bouncing when he's of a mind. I wish I could get him on video!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the vid.

Notice what a tease the hen is! First she's twitching her tail over, then moves away. After that great dance, too!!

I have to giggle out loud whenever I see one of those guys bouncing on a limb like that. It's such a silly act, I don't know how any of those hens could possibly resist. Evidently the intense stare is just too much for some. LOL

My boyfriend never bounces on a limb like that for me..

Then again, if he did.. I'd laugh too, Tammie

Hey girl!

So you've been on vacation? Did ya let the non-bouncing bf go too? ;)

Okay.. I have to say this apology 'out loud'.. My boyfriend just saw the post I posted yesterday, and put a pen in his mouth and then started jumping up and down for me.. And I didnt laugh.. man I love that silly man.

Yup.. we were out camping in the wilds.. Just me, Max and da Man.. It was so nice.. almost wish I could live out there all summer.
