Handfeeding

Post by JBHerps » Fri May 02, 2008 10:16 pm

How should my friend go about handfeeding some babies for taming purposes?

She has already handfed a cockatoo so this should be THAT different right?(except for bird size lol)

How much food?

What kind of food?

How often?

How long(how many weeks etc..)?

etc...

Please and thank you!

Check out the FIC, linked at left. There is a great guest article on handfeeding. And this is LOTS different than handfeeding a cockatoo. Finches are so tiny, it is more difficult. And from what I have read, if you succeed in handtaming a finch, it must be kept away from other finches or it will revert.
