2 nesting males?

Post by franceska » Sun Oct 05, 2008 7:34 am

I just realised that the 2 star finches I bought are probably both males (they are both singing and have full masks - one more deep red than the other). I had just assumed they were a pair because they are working so hard on building a nest together... and they both sit in it. Any suggestions why they do this?

I guess I just have to start searching for at least 2 females then... REALLY hard to find any finches in this country!! Except for zebras...
