Very interesting!
I found this very interesting this moring. My little courdon blue baby that fledged last weekend was begging from it's mother. And she was feeding it! This baby was raised by my society finches. I fully expected it to have an idenity crisis.
Is this common? This is my first courdon to raise. And by the way...... dad has been sitting on about four eggs for about a week now. So I guess we will give them another chance to raise their own. I have lots of mealworms on hand as I did last time. Hopefully they will do it this time. I will just have to watch them closely because it seems they feed for about three days and it is not enough for them to thrive.

Good Luck! I hope they take care of the babies this time around.
