DEVIN WAS DANCING!!!!!

Post by bonnies_gouldians » Sat Nov 15, 2008 11:11 pm

The day after I brought my finches home, nearly four weeks ago, my boyfriend had the pleasure of seeing my male gouldian courting my female. He described a beautiful dance and song and I was SO JEALOUS!!! He told me that the female ignored the male, but that he danced for quite some time, though when he tried to get video footage of the event, the male promptly quit dancing. He also said that the female ignored he male :(

Today, my luck changed. I had some friends over and we were discussing what I am going to name my new little buddies and had just gotten the list down a bit when out of no where, the COOLEST THING EVER happened. Newly named male "Devin" began dancing for the newly named female"Agnes". And the best part of all, Agnes was VERY interested in Devin's dance, she watched and turned this way and that to get a better look at him, she even moved closer to him while he was hopping his little heart out!!!

I feel like the proudest and luckiest finch owner on the planet right now, I even texted the breeder to let him know!

Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

Thanks for the well wishes, and I am SO glad to be getting into this addictive society of finches. I too hope that I get to see little gouldians with their shiney little dots on the corners of their mouths!
