If an egg is laid which is completely OVAL, can or will it still hatch?

Haven't seen that yet, but I know that one time when my Owls abandoned their eggs, they were all different sizes. I'd leave it and see what happens--the parents seem to know when all is well or if something is wrong.

I've seen slightly different shapes and sizes with my Gouldians. One particular hen lays considerably smaller eggs like the size of a Zebra. The others lay larger eggs. One of the hens, that lays "regular Gouldian sized eggs" laid a tiny egg...half the size of a Zebra's egg. It was infertile...it's around here somewhere!
