Gouldians in nest

Post by trljr14 » Sun Dec 14, 2008 6:37 pm

There are about ten eggs in the nest.During the day they dont sit on eggs. They cover them up pretty good. They uncover them and start sitting late afternoon. Is it unusual for them to still go at it,even though they have all those eggs in nest.I know all the eggs arent probably fertile, just curious that they are still mating, tom.

How old is your pair? If you have 10 eggs in the nest, I would remove them. I doubt they are going to hatch if they aren't incubating them on a regular basis. Let them start over.
