Both the male and female raise each clutch so one of the hens will not get the help she needs. I would strongly recommend breeding in pairs amd not trios.
Good luck, let us know how they do

As Debbie said, I have found that Gouldians do better housed as individual pairs. Just by my own trial and error.

How big is your flight?? If it's really huge, maybe two pairs could go in there with separate nest boxes. What do you think Debbie ?

When I said breed in pairs I mean equal pairs not necessarily in individual cages. I never bred in individual cages myself. I bred 2 pairs per large flight without a problem and equal numbers of hens to males in aviaries with many birds.
When breeding multiple pairs I put the nest boxes all at the same height so they didn't fight over the highest one. You also have to have many places for them to get away from each other in case of aggression and nest protecting. Gouldians are very laid back and you shouldn't have aggression problems but should be prepared for that super protective pair.

Gouldiandave

I think they'll be more than happy in something that size.
