Shes out for her morning meal. After all that excitment last night, I was wore out at went right to bed (after that little celebratory drink) ;)

@Arama Awww I wore you out too. hhahaha. It was brutal watching that clock and just hoping she wouldnt fly out and perch when the light timer went off

Looks like this morning shes having her breakfast. Now its back to work for me.

@spn1979 Well thats a nice surprise! I guess the they snuck that right past ya! 8)

FYI, I have watched gouldians (via my nestcam) in the nest prior to the hen sitting overnight.
Some times, they are STANDING around the eggs, and NOT sitting on the eggs.
Other times, they are sitting on the eggs. Does this start the incubation, the stop overnight when the hen is not on the eggs, and start again when they are sitting during the day? I don't know, but I don't count days until the hen is sitting at night.

Yeah, I didnt start the incubation date until she started staying on the nest overnight. Prior to that she was just in and out as you said.

I can only see the back of the nest, not the front (it faces the wall for their privacy) and it was driving me nuts wondering what she was doing in-out-in-out-in-out. But shes on it most of the day and all of the night now. (wish I had a birdcam LOL)

A nestcam is both a blessing and a curse.
The blessing is I can see what is going on in the nest.
The curse is that I can see what is going on in the next. What I mean is, I will sit and watch and watch and watch. And nothing else gets done. IOW, it can be a time-sink.
