parnters

Post by superfly1977 » Tue Jan 13, 2009 3:58 pm

i have 2 males and 2 females they are both par up. if i take the 1 male from the 1 par and a female from the other par will they breed if they dont see there other parnters but they can hear them. the 1 par had a cluch that is weaned the other par has not been so luckly the last 2 years. so my hope is split the par up to try to teach the other male or female to raise the young.

Some species have very strong pair bonds and it can be difficult to get the new pairs to bond again if you spilt them up.

If they are Zebras or societies you shouldn’t have a problem. I would suggest you rather pair up one of the new babies with the other pair at about 9 months of age this way you can have 3 different blood lines from one clutch.
