Two new Gouldian clutches !!!
Pictures of my two Gouldian clutches! I've been hearing cheep-cheeping a lot and finally got them out for banding. All are doing great and being fed by their parents. So proud of my bird babies!!! So far so good!!!

Looking great Jenny, woo-hoo!!!
Not sure if you mentioned this in another post, but what colours are the parents, and what colour babies are you expecting ?
They look well fed, so parents are definitely doing a good job

Re: Two new Gouldian clutches !!!
In the first photo, Hen is a BH PB green back and Cock is OH PB GB
Second photo, Hen is OH PB GB and Cock is RH PB GB split to Blue
Don't know what to expect. Most look GB so far except for one that looks a little lighter than the rest. Time will tell !!!
They are in my outdoor aviary and we have had a LOT of rain and actual flooding today. Last weekend, with Hurricane Patricia hitting Mexico, here in SE Texas we ended up having a lot of rain and up to 30 miles an hour gust of winds. OMG....could use a break in the weather!!! I probably would have won "Funniest Home Videos" if my daughter and I could have been videoed trying to wrap plastic sheeting around the aviary in the wind and rain last weekend.
A few days earlier it was getting up to 90F during the day. So I definitely didn't need to enclose the aviary....yet...
Texas weather....you gotta love it !!!
So far all my birds and babies are looking good.
I have Gold Breast that are on a nest of eggs. And my Senegal Fires are on a nest, but keep leaving it "unattended" for extended amounts of time, then go back on the nest and set. Not sure how many or if any will hatch. "Flame" and "Sparky" (from their first clutch) are growing and looking great. This will be another "wait and see"...
Tomorrow is supposed to be a sun shining day!!!! Yea! Don't know who will be happier, me or my feathered babies?

I hope you manage to keep dry, Jenny. Watching the news, I've seen pictures of terrible flooding in certain parts of Texas.
Keep yourselves and your birdlings safe.

Congrats Jen, they are beautiful!
And so so glad you weren't too badly hit by the effects of the hurricane. Scary stuff!

Texas did not have a "direct hit" from hurricane Patricia, but we did get the residuals of the winds and rain as it made landfall and continued across the states. Then after that "exciting" weekend, this past weekend we had more rain than before, with no where for all the previous rainwater to go! I will post pics of the streets that run in front of my home. It was pretty incredible! But after all that, my birds seem to be doing okay. I'm keeping a close watch on them. Thanks for your comments.

A few photos of the weekend rains and flooding. These were taken standing on my front porch looking out on to the street that runs in front of my home and one standing at the end of our driveway looking out onto the road. Lots of rain to say the least!!! All of my neighbors were lucky and no one got water into their homes.....and I was able to keep all my birds somewhat "DRY"??!!?!?
